Available for a few days, the FPP mode offers to discover Battlegrounds from a different angle. With this new way of understanding the game come some good little tricks to know.
Change of mood
You'll soon realize, the games on FPP servers are much slower and set than in the third person, which makes perfect sense: without the ability to check its blind spots with and a much narrower field of view, players are more careful and much less quick to jump on the rack of the least quidam running in a wheat field. Thus, storming a house or building will have a completely different flavor than in third-person view: confirming the position of the enemies and their number will be crucial, while it is very often enough to play on the effect of surprise in GST.
New reflexes to acquire
The way you play GST won't necessarily work in FPP modes anymore, and you're going to have to use a few previously underutilized shortcuts. The lean (leaning to the side) on the A and E keys becomes even more important, as does looting using the keyboard tab key to clearly display what's on the floor (swipe to your inventory or click right). When aiming specifically, remember that Maj keeps your breathing easier for better stability, while CTRL will make you enjoy a slower, quieter walk.
The cage at the FOV
In SPF, the FOV (for Field of View) is often a feature claimed by serious players. Concretely, a reduced FOV offers a narrow field of view, as if the avatar were constantly equipped with blinkers. Since the last update of the game, and the arrival of the FPS mode, Bluehole proposes to set this setting up to 103 degrees. We can't advise you to push this cursor into the options as soon as you get the chance: this gives a definite advantage in the scouting phase and also grants, moreover, an additional comfort of play not negligible.
Equipment displayed
Hop hop hop, as long as you're in the options, you'd also be well advised to take a look at the settings showing the equipment you have on the HUD. If in GST, there is no problem to see what you are wearing since everything is clearly visible from your point of view, well that is not the case in FPS mode. By activating weapons and armor in the game settings, you'll be able to constantly see what you're wearing with you and it's not luxury!.
